The ending spoilers

So in my first play through I had Sam, Ashley, Emily, and Mike alive in the house where the Wendigos were inside and fighting each other. I chose to help Mike out after he crushed the light bulb but then after that I chose to flip the switch and the house blew up with Mike inside. I was bummed because I wanted Mike to make it, so I replayed the ending and got to the same point and chose to hide instead of flipping the switch and I was totally still but right at the end it turned red and Same got killed and Mike ended up flipping the switch. I know that you can end the game with everyone living but wondering how it is possible. If you have 5-6 people alive at the end are they all in the house for that part? If I replay the ending again is it possible that I can save Mike in that scenario and maybe I did move (I know I didn't).

Sam: You just have to keep still and do all the correct QTEs, that's the only way she dies so you must've just ever-so-slightly moved the controller.

Mike: When Sam, just make sure you choose to save Mike at the end.

Ashley: In episode nine, DON'T investigate the 'Jessica voice', stay with the group.

Emily: Hit all of her QTEs. Escape the wendigos via the conveyor belt, if bit don't have Mike shoot her.

Chris: When Ashley and Chris are tied up, choose to shoot Chris. Never point the gun at Ashley. If so, she leaves Chris out in the cold literally. Shoot all the wendigos on the way back to cabin.

Matt: Do not attack the deer with the axe. Later in the chapter, opt to not save Emily and just jump off the platform.

Jessica: First of all after she gets kidnapped, make sure Mike uses the most riskiest options. You also have to make sure to slide down the hill while playing as Mike too. Taking the long path means she dies. When she re-appears in chapter 9 HIDE, don't run, and be prepared for some QTEs and Don't Moves. Matt should be here too so passing this saves him.

Josh: Find the diary towards the end, veer left when you go into the water.

Yes, you can save both Sam and Mike in the last scene. To save Mike, you have to choose the hold still options with Sam as long as it will go. The last hold still with Sam is VERY difficult. I had to turn my controller's vibration off and put it down on a solid table to get it to work (someone on here recommended that strategy, and it works).

Not everyone ends up at the house at the end. Jessica and Matt don't show up, but they can still live.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I was able to save everyone. Jessica and Matt kind of get screwed as far as screen time goes and the game/movie makes more sense and is better when they die. Great game! I like Emily now even though she is mean with Matt. I made Matt stand up for himself this time and he did not come off as such a wuss.

Actually, Ashley can investigate the noise, just don't open the little catch because there is a wendigo in there and it will kill Ashley, go in their if you are interested in collecting totums, cuz there is a totum down in their, and if you avoid where the wendigo is you can rejoin the group and be fine.
