Hope it gets Picked Up!

I really hope CBS picks up this show. It sounds like it could be really good. I already love the cast and the premise. And it would be a great lead out for How I Met Your Mother. It would be a shame if CBS passed on this.

Good news!

CBS Picks Up James Van Der Beek's Friends with Better Lives

CBS has ordered the series Friends with Better Lives, starring James Van Der Beek, Brooklyn Decker and Kevin Connolly, TVGuide.com has learned.

The multi-camera comedy follows a group of thirtysomethings who each think that the other has it better. Dana Klein and Aaron Kaplan will executive-produce, with Klein also writing.

Friends with Better Lives is the eighth series CBS has ordered. Read about CBS' other series pickups here.

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by a joint venture between Lionsgate and CBS.)

I am happy to hear that it has been picked up. I definitely want to check it out. Also, I like how CBS seems to be focusing on comedies for next season. I personally think that their comedies are the best part of their network. All the comedies that they have picked up sound pretty good to me. I am especially excited for this show, The Millers, and The Crazy Ones.

I'm glad CBS picked it up instead of NBC. It may actually have half a chance of surviving. NBC seems to have lost its mind with cancelling shows that don't have 9+ million viewers in its first season, which is insane, because many shows take several seasons to take in all the feedback and work out all the kinks. In fact, In light of NBC's continuous premature cancellations, I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass. I hope some shows turn THEM down, explaining that they are just a last resort if no other networks will pick them up.

I hope so too! I was actually lucky enough to see a screening of the pilot and it had everyone in the room cracking up. James really stole the show!
