Apparently adults walk around all day in their house holding wine glasses.

"What world are you living in? I don't need friends. I need fans."

Could the girls not dress so rich. Everybodys rich, how can i relate to the show. Himym everyone wore clothes that the average person does.

Part of what made Friends great was some of the gang was dirt poor and they actually addressed it in the comedy.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

It wasrent control her grandma had hand the place since ross was in college. Probably before that. The rent never went up. Meaning it was probably about 700 dollars or so.

The clothes the characters wear in HIMYM are actually quite expensive -- I've loved some of them and looked them up only to shudder at the price! :-P It is actually part of the storyline that Lily is in loads of debt from her obsession with designer labels ;-)
