Pete Hill- rank back?

Did Sergeant Hill get promoted back to Staff Sergeant in an off camera scene? Or did the wardrobe people get the rank mixed up?

he was also wear SSG in the pilot; just before the RPG explosion in Afghanistan.

He was a staff sergeant in Afghanistan before he got in trouble for punching an officer.

I was wondering the same thing about him getting his rank back.

SGT Perez is shown as a Staff Sergeant in the intro segment for the pilot, but later on when she pops up, she's demoted down to SGT as well. I think this was just a screw up from the wardrobe department.
