Liz is a FBI special agent and has no doubts about this lady that just came into her life? She knows her mother just kidnapped Red and could be coming after her. Her neighbor moves out unexpectedly. This new neighbor fits her mother's age. Wouldn't they have asked Red to give them a description of her and have a FBI artist draw a picture of her? At the least Liz would have asked Red what she looks like.

I love the show but this seems far-fetched. Liz has this lady watching her daughter and she never checks into her?

This show just keeps getting sillier and sillier. I only watch it for Spader. He could entertain me by reading a grocery list.

If you are familiar with the show the Liz character has a history of being a complete moron. So her not noticing if a terrorist sat in front of her wearing a suicide vest while holding a switch in one hand isn't out of the ordinary for her. Although she might notice something was amiss when body parts started whizzing by.

Too funny Thomas on your comment. I was wrong in my original post though. I thought she knew more about Red's kidnapper but he hasn't told her anything it seems besides it was a woman. I'm a bit confused about the storyline at the moment involving the past. My memory isn't the greatest anymore and I watch so many shows. It's hard to remember episodes from past years. Maybe I need to rewatch the flashback scenes again in the last episode and pay better attention. I was messing with my computer while watching. I would also think Red would try to warn Liz and would have showed her the picture. (Did they show where he got the picture from?) He didn't have to tell her it was her mother.

Then going back to your comment. Liz tells her mom she had doubts about her, wth???? So she keeps letting this lady watch her daughter that she had doubts about?

Can't wait until the next episode, the ending of the latest 1 was pretty good. Going to rewatch some things first as I said.

The whole storyline has become massively confusing and really makes no sense. The mom knows who wants her dead so I don't understand why she keeps asking who is after her. I can only assume the writers were drunk when they started this storyline and still haven't sobered up. At this point the only way to fix it is flash back to when Red was shot several seasons ago and have him now come out of a drug induced coma to realize that the past few seasons were just a hallucination caused by the drug induced coma.

i sort of feel the same way how could she not know about red poor guy being tortured for no reason besides she if just to ugly to be liz's mother

she had no idea it was her mother who kidnapped Red in Paris...just that it was a woman,

but yeah, she's fucking dense as hell,
after getting caught out, her mother convinces her to be on her side in about 8 minutes & Lizzie sneaks her away from harm's way, going against ALL her training as an FBI agent

She is told "well Red doesn't kill FBI agents". Then she says "if my mom is responsible I'll bring her in myself". Who the hell does she think was responsible for their deaths? Her mom is a monster and she is going to help her?

I thought the same thing. Both she and the show are incredibly DUMB. But I still watch, only because of Spader.

All the crap Liz has gone through, all the cases she's worked, all the drama with her own superspy husband. Her own time on the lamb. And she's still as dumb as a box of rocks. It really is a shame how her character is written. And didn't she used to regularly sweep her apartment for bugs? When'd that stop?
