This is awful. Usually really funny comedians somberly talk about the "horrible plight" of female comedians. All this talent wasted by incompetent film makers. Could've been great and funny but who wants to watch 90 minutes of whiny talking heads?
No funny anectodes? No clips of their stand up relating to what they talk about? No. Just some random 20 second clips of some of the ladies.
Very disappointing.
I gotta agree. If these women ARE funny, they didn't show it.
shareThis was a documentary about women in comedy, and the experience of being a woman in what's been a traditionally male field. Since comedy is often born of tragedy, I think it was refreshing to see these individual women in a more serious light and get a better of idea of who they are as people. People who are funny. :-)
shareI know plenty of women who are funny, but judging from this piece, women are terrible comedians.
This should have been made to make people laugh, instead its like some woman's study thesis.
