Lacking writers or costars

I remember Ben Hoffman was really funny on a show called InfoMania. He had a recurring sketch called "Kids Corner" and great monologues. Unfortunately that show lost some of it's talent and didn't recover.

Where is the supporting talent for this show? I see the writers have credits for stuff like "Scare Tactics" or "Silent Library".. There's really not a lot of help for the star and there should be help on the show by writers or costars. The show is hilarious in parts, but is ruined by having to try too hard and conforming to cheap reality show themes.
