The Bitterness of Those with Empty Lives

Why do the one-star ratings with their accompanying acidic comments always show up under inspiring, religiously-based movies like this? Because it isn't enough that such people wallow in the unhappiness of their own lives; they feel compelled to drag everyone around them down, too.

reply

Just because it's "religiously-based" doesn't automatically mean it's a good movie. I haven't seen it, but from what reviews I've read, they threw in a mish-mash of everything but the kitchen sink - blind people, deaf people, pregnant girl, mute orphan - to milk tears from what segment of moviegoers who like this kind of thing. Why are you bent out of shape? Who is trying to drag YOU down? Watch it and enjoy, have at it.

reply

You are right, but it did come in third overall in all movies opening that weekend I believe, in addition to being a christian movie.

reply

haha, exactly bro.. once I saw that the "Critics" on RT were such haters, I knew it must be epic. It's sssoo obvious that anything that has something to do with Christianity, in any positive light, they are gonna crack open a 24 pack of Haterade, and drink away. Whatever, it only makes me want to see it more. Oh, and if someone is looking for an asinine on-line argument, don't bother - I'm way too frat to care.

reply

You sound so... bitter!

reply

Nah..bitter is the atheist neck beards that feel the need to flaunt their non existent superiority at everything religious, through hateful comments and bad ratings.

Religious cinema and media gets under their skin so much

reply

This comment is bitterness incarnate. Blaming all the negative reviews on atheist 'neckbeards'... Somebody needs to grow up! Ever thought that people might just not like this movie because they think it's bad?

reply

Atheist neck beard? Huh?? Does that mean something?

As an atheist who has never had a beard, I can't tell if I'm supposed to take offense at this, or if you're only attacking the bearded atheists.

reply

The minute this post went up, my ears started to burn...

reply

Well said. You are exactly right. Haters need to be rejected.

reply

Maybe they wanted to see a good movie.

reply

come on, if you go and watch a movie with 'christmas' in the title you don't want to watch a good movie. if you watch this movie and don't know what you're about to get then you're a moron.

reply

I agree that this movie was amazing. I watched it on Christmas Eve, and the joy and hope I felt was even greater. Loved it, and would certainly watch it again!

reply

Damn right. Why suppose life will go on? You, your children, everyone dies. Here's the thing, I need a parking stamp. If your invisible man in the sky can help me, great.
