This..was..TERRIFIC!

I loved it. LOVED it.

it was just the right amount of everything. The irony. Tom's self-deprecation. The honesty. And it's authentically road life but if it weren't for Tom's take on things, it would be just another bullish*t glamorization of the rock star life. This film's almost got you thinking there's a Spinal Tap scriptedness happening -- but it's not. This is reality. And if it weren't for Tom's unique ability showing truth with his own comedic spin on things; poignantly presented? This film wouldn't work as sparkling as it does.

I thought it was just titsy. Thanks, Tom! And the shot compositions, the motifs, the choice of subject-matters to create the shot montages... ALL of it. Lovely.

BTW: I didn't like "review" that shows up on the main page. I think the reviewer brings his own juju issues in, suggesting there's psycho analyzing happening. While Tom may have some envy, it's not any sort of hostility or with pathetic sheen. I believe Tom knows his "Alpha Dog" bro's power -- but he also shows the silliness of complaining about a wet bathing suit on the tour bus or his superior Big Brother's reaction to "screaming in the bathroom." I also thought the tour manager is classically spot-on as a true tour manager. THESE are the wannabe rockstars, y'all. Instead, they morph into the facilitators of the rockstars -- because it's the best they can do. And the good ones do, indeed, count the tequila shots downed.
