Sean Hayes was a symptom, not the cause

I really enjoyed The Millers last season. This year it lost its way. You know a show is in trouble when they introduce either a new kid or a new "wacky" neighbour. Last year they were dealing more with how the parents were managing their separation and how the kids were handling that. What have they done with the father this season so far? Nothing really. It just got boring and I'm not surprised it's cancelled.

Your post and title don't seem to match to me...Sean Hayes was the cause and your post lists the reasons why.

Agreed, Sean Hayes hurt the season alot.

I meant they were running out of other ideas and so introduced the neighbor. They strayed from their original premise. Sean Hayes was them figuring out what to do and failing.

Yea, because he made the show go down in quality. If he played a better part he wouldn't have been the cause.
