Please Stop it With the Sean Hayes Crap
Anyone who thinks one actor could single handedly bring down an entire tv show is sadly mistaken. Obviously, the show began taking a dive towards the end of season 1 and anyone who knows anything about sitcoms knows that the introduction of a new neighbor, baby, or family member is a last ditch effort to easily introduce a new storyline and re-new viewer interest. Problem is, sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. It's no reason to spew hate at an actor for whom your dislike stems from far more than just his acting ability. Sean Hates didn't kill the show. But a lack of creative writing did....
The writers could have gone anywhere with the second season. A serious girlfriend for Nathan. A new baby for his sister's family. New love interests for the parents. But no. They create a gay surrogate son for the mom out of the blue. But viewers blame Sean Hayes? It's laughable how it's human nature to always missplace hate and blame.
