Biggest waste of a talented cast ever?

I can't remember a time when a sitcom was mostly full of actors I liked but the material was so bad that the show is unwatchable. It's a shame because the cast all plays the roles good but the material is completely unfunny and laughtrack sitcoms are so out-dated and corny nowadays. I just can't do it but I keep tuning in every now and then to see if it improves.

I think it's funny. It's not my favorite but it's entertaining. Maybe it's just not your type of humor.

I watch the show, but for the life of me I don't know why. The character of Carol Miller grates on me, along with the actress that plays Mikayla. I too am hoping next season it gets better.

Dads on FOX takes the trophy on this round.

As far as I'm concerned, I prefer silent vice to ostentatious virtue.

I have some old posts here that lamented the arrival of this show before it started. Possibly because they kept playing the same old preview with bad jokes for weeks!

I was wrong. It's not the "cleverest" writing but the cast takes it all head-on like they're doing a vaudeville show, or a corny bit from a variety show. And it works, being a bit over the top. IMO if they played it more subtle like the cast of "Friends" would expose the material as groaners.

I haven't been hooked on any sitcoms for a long time but I think I'm going to invest more time in this and "Mom".

I concur 100%.

Just imagine if Arrested Development had a laugh-track it would have been horrible.

This show would've been far better if it didn't have a shítty laugh-track.

There is the new Netflix show The Ranch that is kind of ordinary but has a good sit com cast. Ashton Kutcher, Debra Winger, Sam Elliott, Elisha Cuthbert and the dumb guy from That 70s Show star in it. Even the part time characters are experienced, the star of Reaper and one of the main actresses from Rules Of Engagement are love interests that are rarely seen.
