Walking out of a hospital directly after a suicide attempt?

Especially given her history, wouldn't she be held for observation for a couple of days at the very least? Is this the way things work in Europe or is it just lazy writing?

I had the same reaction too. Also, do workers in Belgium really get pitted against each other that overtly and do they get to decide who gets laid off or fired? In 35 years of working in this country I have never seen anything close to that and Western Europe is supposed to be more civilized than us in work relations. I change my vote if Marion Cotillard, glammed down or not, visited my apartment.

Well she looked pretty beaten and extremely mediocre but I was still surprised none of the men ask her for something in return for changing their vote, was expecting it all the time especially when the black dude called her back and other guy sent son home, so that was quite optimistic

Not only that, she was smiling ear-to-ear and dancing in the car to "G-L-O-R-I-A!" a mere few hours after attempting suicide. This prompted me to realize that the woman had mental problems and needed to see a psychiatrist. It already hadn't made sense to me that she'd attempt suicide over losing her job--especially when she had two kids. That is not a rational response to losing a job.
