A well-balanced view

I thought this was a very good appraisal of Wodehouse and his sad lack of judgement during his internment (1940 to 1944). He wasn't a traitor, but then neither does he emerge with much credit. I suspect Stephen Fry won't like this, as it shows his idol in a less than favorable light, and he has denounced those who mention this dark episode in no uncertain terms. All together, it was very well-acted, and of great interest to anyone wanting to look "behind the scenes", as it were, of the creator of Bertie Wooster and those other comic figures.

I agree ... this was an entertaining film about a fairly unknown event in WW2 history. Love the line about England turning on those who loved her most. It made me think of Alan Turing.
