D'Artagnan is way too hot for Constance

Come on. He could have any womean he wants and he marries HER?

Seriously? With a name like TeamAmberHeard you should be banned from here because of ignorance!!

You're a pretty shallow person...just saying.

And it's woman.

I think Constance is beautiful. She has a very "lady-like" quality to her appearance. Let us also remember that beauty is extremely subjective, it changes from person to person and over time. In Elizabethan England women used to cake their faces in a white powder to appear pale as that was a sign of beauty. Now women spend hours in tanning beds to look tan.

It's something you'll get used to a mental mind *beep* can be nice!

I think she's very attractive physically, however there's times when i'm not sure that she has sexual chemistry with d'Artagnan. In series 3 especially, she's been more like his older sister than his lover and wife.

reply

I have to say, I agree with you here. The sexual on screen chemistry between Constance and d'Artagnan was more evident in the earlier series. I've only seen the first 2 episodes so that may change. But, if my husband, who looks like d"Artgnan, came home after 4 years of war I wouldn't be worried about going about doing good works; I'd take his suggestion on how to spend the day and be all over him. On another superficial note -I'm not liking Constance's series 3 costume all that much.

reply

I can agree they lack chemistry. Constance seems years older the d"Artagnan. I am the same age as Luke Pasqualino but he just has a very "boyish" quality to him. I don't even think he looks that young it is just something about him. Tamla Kari, on the other hand has a very "mature" quality to her despite her relative youth. She looks like a woman, he looks like a boy. I feel bad for saying it though I know first hand how much it sucks to look significantly younger than you are.

I had a concerned party goer tell my mom her "teenager" was drinking at a party once. I was 23 at the time.

According to the book, D'Artagnan was about 18 (...figurez-vous don Quichotte à dix-huit ans...), and Constance was 23 (...il y en avait là plus qu’il n’en fallait pour tourner une tête de vingt-trois ans, et Mme Bonacieux en était arrivée juste à cet âge heureux de la vie...), but when he first met her she was described to the reader as a 25-26 y.o. woman (C’était une charmante femme de vingt-cinq à vingt-six ans...).

reply

I think she's lovely!

As someone else said, it's subjective.

'Dogtanian' as we call him at home is indeed gorgeous, and I already liked Aramis from Heroes. However, they've all grown on me, and having just watched the last episode I think they're all pretty gorgeous!

Sad it's over, but liked the ending :)

"..on the outside I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook."

reply

I don't know if I'd put it that way, but I agree there's no chemistry. She's lovely, but rather matronly and I don't understand the whole garrison thing. She's like the Musketeers' house mother, not a love interest.

reply

Agreed - she's "lovely" but in a matronly way, whereas he is drop dead gorgeous. Not well matched in the programme. His fling with Milady was more realistic.

reply

I agree about the lack of chemistry. Mind you, I don't think Athos and Sylvie had a lot of chemistry either. By far the best pairing was Athos/ Milady.

reply

Athos/Milday made the best pair

but maybe because I am a guy I think that this version of d'Artagnon was way too EMO and wimpy looking for my liking, the actor did not grow on me at all-he is not that good of an actor

The other actors were nearly perfectly cast

reply

Tamla Kari is simply gorgeous. She did appear to pack of a few pounds for season three, but that could have just been the change in costuming making it appear that way.
