James Cawley posts a defensive statement.

James Cawley made a post concerning an article about Star Trek fan films. Here is what he had to say.

"No matter what lies are spread in the press and among fandom, To you all I say, We here at New Voyages were the first to recast these characters, The first to bring back TOS, and work with it's guest stars, We were here 13 years before the rest and I swear, we will be here 13 years after them."

It seems that the author of that article said some things that stirred up a hornet's nest once again.

SMH. This fan fighting instigated by Vic Mignogna has really taken the fun out of Star Trek.

Cawley being butthurt that a journalist opinion piece refers to STC as the flagship of fan films is Vic's fault now?? Hahaha.

There were no lies there. The article did not say STC was the first; only that it is the most critically acclaimed/widely known about at this point. He's just mad that they didn't prop him for doing it first.

Phase II/New Voyages is coming off as so petty and defensive in their constant attacks on Vic and Star Trek Continues. I used to like both, but this ugliness is really turning me off to New Voyages. I have never once seen someone associated with Continues post something negative about New Voyages. NOT ONCE. And yet I CONSTANTLY see New Voyages people attacking Vic. This is a one-sided vendetta and it's making the side waging the was and throwing the stones (New Voyages) look so bad and so petty.
