1) Thracians weren't some swarthy exotic people, they were far more fair then the romans on average, Herodotus described the average thracian as being a red haired pale skinned person who worshiped gods that looked like they did(as everyone else did in their regional religions)
2) bananas weren't introduced to rome by thracians, rome controlled egypt, it was a roman province at one point and a vital trade route even before the suez canal was contructed.
I know right how dare they not be realistic on this fictional television show.

It is hard not to sound condescending when you are explaining things to an idiot!
Accuracy is not this series forte, in series 1 the boys eat both corn and potatoes neither of which were available to the citizen's of Rome.
shareRomans also didn't speak English, or have British accents.
If you're watching this show expecting historical accuracy (this is a comedy don't forget) then you're going to be very disappointed. You also have some severe problems.
