Why did I hate-watch this entire series?

I knew almost immediately that it wasn't good and that it wasn't going to get good, but every week, when it showed up on Hulu, I watched it.

There's absolutely nothing to recommend this show and I can't even try to explain why I watched the whole way through. Maybe just to look at Ginger Gonzaga?

Perhaps it gives you an excuse to complain.

He liked it...troll

Actually, I didn't like it. I liked the finale--I thought it was a better episode than the show deserved--and I thought the premise was interesting.

But the individual episodes were awful, yet I kept coming back to watch them, even after giving up hope that it would get better.

And what's funny is I found a friend of mine--big sitcom fan--who did exactly the same thing.

The Collector tried to collect Phil Coulson. He failed.

Maybe you're a masochist. I've never hate-watched anything in my life. That doesn't even make sense.

reply

Sure it does: you don't like it, you don't enjoy it, you may even complain about it, but you watch it anyway. That's hate-watching.

The basic idea is that if you "hate-watch" something all the way through, you actually like it. Even if you won't admit to liking it, or admit the reason why.

No, I didn't like it. I didn't like the characters, I didn't like the writing, and I didn't enjoy watching it.

I did like looking at some of the attractive people and given the premise I was curious about where they were going to go with it--is it even possible to do a second season of a show of this type?--and I kept hoping something would happen that would make me feel like it was worth tuning in.

As I said in a post above, I actually kind of liked the finale. Too little, too late, for everyone involved, though.
