You know they will have camera's filming the special precautions the police covering the event took, so I would imagine they got some great coverage of the police response. The military channel had two documentaries filming on 9/11. One following a crew going through USMC tank school, the 11th was their 1st day to fire the main gun. The other was a series filming recruits going through boot camp at Parris Island. Both shows had trainees from the New York area and did a pretty decent job recovering what those recruits were feeling.

Hopefully we can get some footage of the capture and or arrest of the A-HOLES that did this!

Seems kind of doubtful those preparations would be filmed, unless the next season (will there be one?) follows different groups of cops. The show focuses on units that see action and might make arrests, rather than this kind of crowd-control, public-safety duty. But if you're right, yeah, that would be remarkable. At the very least, perhaps tonight's finale will make note of the bombing in the opening or closing credits.

After spending nearly an entire episode on the cop's drug addicted sister, I think bot covering the Marathon would be like not covering Mardi Gras in NOLA. If they didn't cover it, I am sure they are kicking themselves.

these shows are taped and edited months in advance. these aren't live shows, there's no way they could have presented the bombing in boston that happened 2 days prior to the final show.

i thought it was nice that they honored the victims of the bombing at the beginning of the show and that was probably a stretch to get that in there on time.
