Based on IMDB ratings on July 31 2016 this is the first franchise (with at least three movies) I have seen where the rating goes up with each new sequel, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.5. Even The Godfather goes down from 1 to 2 before plunging at 3.

Alien franchise is not even close, but follows the usual decline

You could have looked that all up before posting, just like I did with a few of the best known franchises before my first post about Sharknado.
