The only reason they made this show..
Was because of the popularity of Wicked Attraction on ID. But I'm guessing it doesn't matter since Deadly Women wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the original Snapped show.
shareI think it was because of popularity of the original Snapped, which is way more popular than Wicked Attraction. I know the original Snapped revolves around a woman but a lot of the time a the woman had an accomplice. For example: Ashley and Tracy Humphrey. Larissa Schuster and James Fagonie. Linda Pedroza and her boyfriend and there have been others. Maybe the popularity of Wicked Attraction is responsible for 10% of the reason why Oxygen decided to put this on the air.
shareNot really, I mean I think they did it to copy ID shows and this one copied the ID show theme of killer couples. All of the ID shows have themes which is why Oxygen decided to do this show with a theme, it only have half to do with Snapped. Wicked Attraction is one of the most popular ID shows so they just ripped the theme of it. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to do other themes like ID does. LMN is already doing that so I wouldn't be surprised if Oxygen did it as well. I have to admit that I like Wicked Attraction much better than this though. I can't put my finger on what it is.

I think you're on to something there. There's a new show coming out called Snapped:She made me do it, that seems to be similar to the ID show I'll Kill for you. Even TVOne seems to be getting into that game as well with their new show called "For Him" which is also similar in theme. So I agree while this show didn't completely copy ID but the idea of having themed shows did.
