why all the hate?

I understand that the movie has a "white" actor as the lead looking in to this legendary fight, but if you look and read in to the whole ordeal... it's almost required for him to be white.

granted that I have not seen the movie, so it might actually be trash. BUT the reason it is even being made, is to show the side of the story from master wong's view.

the more I learn about bruce lee the more I don't like him. it goes without saying that most ppl can see and or agree that he is an arrogant cocky person during his younger life. if you look up the events of this fight, so many things have been lied about by bruce lee's party. it talks about how master wong shunned bruce for teaching white people, when master wong himself had white students, and was one of the first to accept them. or how the fight was suppose to be a secret, and bruce blabbering about how he beat the crap out of wong days after the fight. when many eye witnesses says otherwise and wong being fine going back to work the next day.

I know everyone wants more exposure for the asian community in hollywood, but this is a situation where a "white" actor fits the role better. watch it for the story and acting. this movie isn't about any one actor, it's about the fight between two legends.

What are you talking about? The movie is supposed to be about Bruce Lee, not some made-up white character who didn't even exist in real life. What you just said didn't make any sense at all---they didn't need a white actor to explain Bruce's story. The real Bruce Lee didn't need some white guy to explain in his movies. And you didn't give any real reason why the whtie character should have been there in the first place. Its because the filmmakers didn't have enough faith in the main character's ability to carry his own story (which he clearly could have) because he's Asian. That obviously showed some racism and bias on their part.

You haven't even seen the movie so you don't know what the hell you're talking about. The white character is one of Bruce's students. The movie is about Bruce defying tradition and being the first to teach Kung Fu to white students. Stop keyboard jockey SJW-ing.
