Okay while I like it.

Love seeing Ryan in a different role from His Veronica Mars Character. "Did he and Ari ever share a scene on VM?"

I feel maybe Ari was miscast. She lacks, The comedic chops for this role. 20 minutes feels really rushed. Like I didn't get a character arc for Meredith. She literally went from a self absorbed gold digger to a self absorbed gold digger who cared for the kids. It seemed out of character for her to just blow off the rich dad in favor of helping the safety patrol kids.. We learned she got cheated on but we didn't really get much time getting to know her.. to even care. I just feel this is a better movie then T.V series. a character like this is hard to develop on T.V and make her a likeable character. So I see why they had to give her some hint of Layers. The issue was the Layers weren't shown or given time to develop the narrative moved way too fast. By episode 3 we should see her being more caring. but This is clearly not set in the real world either none of the things she did would fly in the real world. It wasn't terrible because let's be honest the movie was just okay. I just wish it had taken itself more seriously and casted a better actress to play this character. I liked Ari in Nick and Noah's infinite playlist I just don't know how well she pulls off comedy. She's no Emma Stone which is an actress I think could give depth to this role. Still though I don't feel like this show is bad. it's just not good either I will give it a season if it gets that far. I say Cancellation is soon.
