What season 2 might have been

I do wonder what season 2 might have been if the show renewed. My guess would be that Meredith would try to repair her friendship with Joel,

The last ep they showed was such a cliff hanger! Last one ever?? :(

It didn't feel much of a cliffhanger, she was conscious of the actions she took and didn't seem to have any remorse for it. As far as I'm aware she's happy to be a teacher again with the rich husband, but no love from Joel (which is who she actually really liked).

Is it bad that this is the exact turnout that I hoped for her? I didn't actually expect it to happen, but she got the "best" of both worlds. Let's face it. After living the life she lived, no way she could keep living on broke and being happy. Now, she's rich again and has a life (and a fraction of a conscience she never had!).

Anyway, maybe if season 2 was a possibility, Ray would've cheated again but it wouldn't have hit her so hard as the first time. And Joel would've had an even bigger, even more justified I-told-you-so look on his face.
