Netflix version has terrible quality

Haven't seen the movie since it came out on DVD, wanted to see it again but it seems Netflix (Dutch version) has uploaded a terrible quality of the movie, i press the combination Ctrl, shift, Alt + S to see what the highest bitrate is and its just 830 and a resolution of 720x480 if you use the Ctrl, Shift, Alt + D key combo! I first thought it was because its not possible to get full HD on Firefox and Chrome, but i tried it on Edge where you can get HD resolution, but even on Edge it still stays in the same *beep* quality. Anyone knows why they would upload a movie in such poor quality to Netflix?

You own a DVD player and are talking about poor quality?

Blu-ray (1080p) is the minimum standard these days. Can't hark on Netflix if you're not current yourself.

I don't own a dvd/blu-ray dvd player, have a PS3 but have not watched in a dvd on it in 2 years, i don't buy any physical dvd's anymore as everything can be bought digital and i simply don't have room anymore for dvd's.

And i had a chat with a employee of Netflix and they confirmed there was something wrong with the quality of uploaded version.

The PS3 is a Blu-ray player.

Speaking of digital, you can always rent a Blu-ray and rip it to an HDD.

I have no idea what the Netflix version of Fury looks like, but the Blu-ray looks incredible. Seeing that it was mastered in 4K, literally nothing is lost in the picture. I wouldn't want to give up any bit of that whatsoever, whether it was streaming an HD version on Netflix or watching the DVD.

I don't doubt what you're saying about the Netflix version of Fury, but I'm just saying that even DVD quality or a compressed HD stream would still be doing the film a great load of injustice, unfortunately.

This is how it looks like, even for a hd rip that would look awful, it looks like they downloaded a poor rip from the internet and just uploaded it.

Yeah, that looks pretty atrocious.

The Blu-ray looks stellar. Sounds great too.
