What's next for Barry and Lainey?

Lainey is same age as Erica which means she is at least one year older than Barry. She and Erica are seniors which means last year in high school and college for next year.

So since Barry probably has one more year in high school, what is next for their relationship? Rest of the season could point out that Barry is afraid losing Lainey after she graduates.

Little side questions: Are they slept together already? If not they could also point that out. Only mentioning they wanna sex and aftermath after Barry forgots condom. Cliché, but still. This is serious topic nowadays but I do not know how serious was it in 80s.

I am mostly 90s kid (altough I was born in 1988).
