The writing in the sand moments...help?

I could not figure out what the writings in the sand said in the beginning when Robyn sees it, then I thought more words were added.(Then the scene where she flashes back I got it) But then when Seb saw it I had no idea what it said. I paused and still could not figure out the words. Any help?

First time for sure was "even the good are damned". When seb seen it I couldn't make it out.

Yea that part was hard to make out but I paused it and zoomed and it said 'DAMNED'. The D was blocked by his head for most of the shot.
