I missed the end. How did Andrew feel about the kiss?

I think I've seen all the episodes, but when Lauren accused Sydney of being jealous of Allie with Andrew, it seemed to come out of nowhere. When did Sydney start having a thing for Andrew? The last hint of romance I saw between them was back in the 4th episode when Andrew tried to kiss her because he thought she was "sending out signals." I never picked up on any interest from Sydney toward Andrew until the night of the finale.

Andrew is literally beneath Sidney.
And I really don't like the hypocrisy of Andrew not wanting Sidney dating anyone and yet Sidney has to be fine with Andrew having sex with various women.
And remember when Zach intentionally got Sidney sick so that Sidney wouldn't be able to be with that doctor and therefore Andrew still had a chance with Sidney?
I also think it's rather silly that Sidney's age is mentioned or referenced so much. Sidney looks like SMG, it's Chicago, Sidney is likely a multi-millionaire on her own, and she's the heiress to one of the biggest advertising firms in the United States. It doesn't seem she should have too many problems getting dates.
