I've seen all three of the Taylor Burton films: Liz & Dick, Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story, and this one. This one was good, but painful to watch because Elizabeth was so obviously still deeply in love with a man who had moved on. Yes, he cared about her, but he wasn't in love with her. I think my favorite of the trio is Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story. Fenn and Macfayden had a lot of chemistry and they played off each other very well.

I agree it is difficult to watch because it focuses on a very painful part of their relationship but I enjoyed it regardless. I thought Liz and Dick was absolutely awful. I have yet to see Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story.
I thought Helena and Dominic both gave superb performances, especially Dominic as the tortured Burton.

Hi Maddyclassicfilms☺,
I totally agree: Liz & Dick was terrible. Both leads were miscast. I thought Angus MacFayden in Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story did the best job as Burton. I think Helena did the best 'older' Elizabeth, but Fenn did a great job of capturing Elizabeth's youth. Fenn and Macfayden were a very entertaining and dynamic Elizabeth and Richard.

I will have to try and find Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story. I agree I also thought Helena did a fantastic job playing the older Elizabeth.
