Remake of a Russian classic

This film is obviously a remake of the Russian classic "Ирония судьбы, или с легким паром!" or "Irony of Fate", which is one of the most loved Russian movies and every New Year's Eve watched by millions of Russians. Very difficult to believe "I Love NY" would ever acquire the same status.
