Mary or Bird?

For my money, Mary is the hotter of the two.

But I think that Bird would DEFINATELY be more fun!

Comments anyone?

Bird seems more of a laugh-I'd deffo go out on the town with her and I don't generally have many female mates. I find blokes easier to get on with!

reply

Bird - definitely dirtier.

There's only two things I hate in this world, intolerance to other peoples cultures, and the French.

reply

I agree with Saxondale 100%.

To quote Kathy Bates in 'Misery', "What a dirty, DIRTY Bird!"

reply

Neither seem fun. Mary is a Padre, so of course she's not going to be "fun". Bird is too concerned with being "one of the guys" and the respect that comes with that in an army platoon. Mary is clearly more attractive if you're not a lesbian. That's about all there is to go on. I doubt I'd hang out with either of them if not stuck in the miserable Afghani desert with them and no other women.

reply

If I knew I didn't have to see either of them again then Bird is the one to go for. But I seriously couldn't contemplate waking up to that as more than a one-off. I can't see beyond Hustle for Mary, so no thanks. But then again I fancy Olivia Colman to the roof and back, so don't take my opinion as "Normal"

I know that we're talking about characters rather than the actresses that play them, but for the record Katie Lyons DOES scrub up rather nicely when she's not Cpl Bird - and even in 'Bluestone' she looked rather foxy with her hair down.

Check out the girl in the BT TV advert with Ewan McGregor. Yes, that IS her!

Lilactime, I'd be happy to wake up to that for the rest of my LIFE, never mind just a second morning! LOL!

reply

Oh, don't worry I get it, I was talking about the characters. Katie is rather a fox in real life. I always think of her as Naughty Rachel in Green Wing weighing her boobs to see how much they would cost to post....

Naughty Rachel, could quite easily be Bird years down the line.

Actually, when it comes to characters these women have played, Olivia's jolly line "That's me on Friday night!" as she beholds the spit-roast in 'Hot Fuzz' was TOTAL Bird.

God! She's SUCH a miserable cow in 'Broadchurch' though. I know it pretty much comes with the territory, but for Christ's sake, luv, does the phrase 'Gallows Humour' ring any bells?

No, just call me Birdman. "The tent is covered in bunting! C---ing BUNTING!"

Pure gold.
