Variety confirms Camp cancellation
NBC axed the show as per Variety. Sad. This was an excellent show. I love that US networks are showing shows filmed in different countries, and now NBC you had to ruin this. I am totally heartbroken.

shareDon't blame NBC. Be grateful that it even gave the show a chance. The show just didn't grasp an audience large enough and hold them interested.
share@TootsieRollin-I don' feel they gave it a chance. Summer shows constantly get dropped because of the time of year and the audience available. There were many mixed reviews- some good, some bad, in fact they got a 6.9 on IMDB which isn't that bad. And there are many posts saying it isn't cancelled. I just wished they would have given it more time.......
shareMany sources have confirmed it's canceled including the NBC network itself. Even the cast from Camp posted on twitter that Season 2 won't be happening. A simple google search can confirm all of this.
If you are unfamiliar with American TV, let me just say, they hold a very high standard in terms of content. If the contents not there, there's no audience. I watched this entire series just simply because nothing else was on. The show was, ok at best. If it's not up to par with sitcoms like 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, The Office, or Community, then it doesn't stand a shot for a second season.
You can also see from imdb discussions that, there are very few people that watches this show because no one is talking about it. A show can gain popularity from simply spread of word but this show lacks that.
Camp was honestly better than the last 2-3 seasons of the office. 30 Rock is gone, Parks & Rec is following soon, and I bet Camp had equal if not better ratings than Community (though Community is streets ahead in terms of quality)
