This show is so bleak.
But I’m into it. I’ll have a hard time recommending it to others though because it’s so dark. I enjoy it but I can’t see too many others enjoying.

shareI love it. I've been watching several series and The Terror is best by far. I even find it more gripping than something like Game of Thrones. I admit a lot of people wouldn't like it. I think it's kind of like Masterpiece Theater with better production values, gore and monsters. Wonderful!
shareBeing "bleak" is a plus for me, too. I also like the fact that it's going to be only a limited series (at least I hope so) and not drag out the story for season after season after interminable season like most TV series do on a commercial network (if it's a hit, that is).
shareJust checked imdb - apparently it's going to be at least 2 seasons - which I think is an overkill for a show based on one book.
Even the audiobook lasts around 7 hours (and it's a rather slow audiobook - with descriptions being the bulk of the book - so they are definitely stretching it.
