This could be a come back for Cuba. Very good story (which is a true story). Great acting, great chess. Just loved it.

It is pretty good. I think u fortunately it is kind of cheesy when it comes to the classroom scenes. It is kind of difficult to suspend disbelief that he just showed them how to play chess and they just kind of began playing and stopped making noise.
Outside the classroom stuff it's pretty good. Too tragic.
Forgot too ask. Why is Cuba Gooding Jr. considered to have "left". I noticed he regularly appears in movies. They're just not
blockbusters and with age his character seems to be the same from film to film. Kind of like the same serious jaded face.
Cuba has never left, he stays gainfully employed if you didnt know. He's been in just about as many movies as Mr. movie himself, Samuel L. Jackson. If what you mean as a A- lister? He will never be that, wasnt ever before but he's one helluva actor.
