-how did he make a living after getting fired from the school? Somehow he had money to not only take care of himself but he also was able to rent a chess club and have gas money to drive all around.

-so his chess club was during detention. Shouldnt concern number one would have been to address why were these kids getting sent to detention EVERY day?

Yeah, I wondered that the whole movie. It's based on A true story, so it's believable, but they should've let us in on it.. I just assumed the whole movie that the drug dealers have him start up money
