Beautiful looking film

Who else noticed the polished look of this film? The classic cars, the period costumes, the excellent music, and those gorgeous outdoor daytime shots that had a certain golden "glow" about them. I realize that a lot of people are bashing this movie for not being historically accurate, but this is still a well-made production that could have been released in theaters. does anyone agree?

Yes, I agree. The look/feel/tone of the film is most impressive.

One of the few very good parts. Too bad the rest was garbage.

I adored the costumes, especially all the knitwear the ladies were sporting! I never realized just how versatile and creative one could be with knits!

And now I need to go kick myself for never taking up my grandma's offer to teach me how to knit/crochet/what have you...

I actually think the beautiful look of it hindered it instead of helped it. They were active in the dirty thirties- in the heart of the dust bowl. It should have looked dusty and tattered instead of beautiful and polished. That's the first thing I noticed and it made me not want to watch the rest of it. Maybe if I didn't know anything about them or the time period, it wouldn't have looked so out of place. But, yes, it looked beautiful.

Yes, I agree. Bonnie and Clyde did like to dress well but it was a dusty oppressive era and they would not have looked like they were sprinkled with fairy dust.
Poverty is not so pretty.
All this made it seem a bit cartoonish right off the bat. And so the story followed.

I completely agree. Bonnie's costumes, the music and the scenery were wonderful. The film was entertaining and the historical inaccuracy doesn't bother me at all. I thought the two main characters were fascinating.

The look of it was beautiful to bad the made up story they gave us stunk!

Visually it was a fantastic movie. The sets were very 1930's accurate (at least they got something right). At some point I started to ignore the actors and began to focus on all those beautiful Model A Fords.

A heart can be broken, but it still keeps a-beatin' just the same.
