Another cliffhanger non-finale

Most of the time the decision whether to renew or cancel a series is made after the season has aired. So many screenwriters think the only way to get people to watch the next season is to leave everything hanging or even the star in mortal danger. Perhaps more people would watch if they knew there would be some decisive ending. If they do not renew they should at least make a final movie to wrap things up. I was mad when the last episode of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior ended up with the cop facing an impossible moral decision and there was a fade to black and a gunshot. I'm tired of getting burned by canceled programs with no ending. It's like getting up and leaving a movie 20 minutes before it's over.
