Shouldn't the winner be the person who actually figured out whodunnit?

It's sad that Kam, who never once guessed the killer's identity, wound up beating Lindsay, who correctly guessed the killer's identity every single week.

The bad thing about this show was that it was like the Amazing Race in that you never had to be the best until the very end. You could be absolutely terrible so long as each episode, there was always one person even worse than you. Unfortunately a large premise of the show was figuring out "whodunnit" so it comes across even worse when someone who was clueless wins not based off figuring out the killer's identity, but instead wins by completing a series of puzzles.

If it would be "whodunnit" the quiz would only consist of one question and there would be a lot of correct and a lot of false people.
Which would mean the only way to determine the best from the worst would be the time they entered the name of who did it and because of that the game would be called "whodiditthefastest" and still not "whodunnit".

The only way to get more questions than one is the way they took with the "howdunnit".

But they should have incorporated the killers name somehow into the last challenge for example a simple 50:50 choice of the other two contestants and adding 5min onto the time for chosing the wrong killer.

Kam was the better player at "howdunnit" and probably wouldn't have survived if the killers identity was somehow (heavy) involved in the weekly quizzes.

Lindsey was the best at "whodunnit" because she had a good (lucky?) guess at the killer but wouldn't have survived without the input from Kam and her other "teammates" because she was next to useless when it came to "howdunnit".

Kam quickly figured out the game and how to play it, and his strategies ultimately earned him the win.

The weekly game was figuring out the murder puzzle, not overthinking it, and being able to extrapolate whatever clues they were given with their most obvious implication. For example, when they were given castor beans, Kam had to disregard the feasibility and total lack of corroborating evidence and realize that castor beans means ricin. It was essentially like word association.

They should rename the show then because in all of the interviews they have to backtrack and say that even though the show is called Whodunnit it doesn't matter at all who they guess is the killer. It really ruins the whole premise of the show that they need to find the killer.

I agree , he still didn't figure it out in the room with the killer standing in front of him saying "I'm the killer" I think she had to say it twice, or spell it out for him, finally he's like "oh! Your the killer "

I don't know... I think one big hint for Kam that Cris was the killer was that she and him WERE THE ONLY TWO LEFT!

The show threw so many ridiculous things at you it was entirely possible that neither of them were the killer even at that point... at a few points they were throwing suspicion onto the Butler. Who says they were following any sort of rules... they didn't seem to really follow any of their rules before that, even ones they had stated outright. I'm sure a lot of people were as incredulous as Kam at the end there.

Lol I was shouting at the tv she's the killer you idiot!! He was 2 seconds from guessing that he was the killer before she told him in rhyme that she was the killer. What an undeserving winner.

NO because then the show might make sense and it wouldn't be as much of a fun train wreck to watch.
