Cancellation was inevitable.

No gay men kissing, no story lines about global warming or gun control.

This was just a simple family-oriented show with easy-going jokes.

Destined to fail, making room for more agenda-peddling crap.

Quick, someone que up a comedy about 3 gay dads raising a boy who wants to be a girl because men are inherently violent as shown through gun crime. HAHAHA. good times.

You're probably not completely wrong. People seem to mistake crude content for compelling and innovative television. We've lost the ability for quality simple shows like this to thrive.

It seems like it's in the NBC charter to cancel good shows.
They cancelled all 3 shows I watch on that channel at once. I'm done with NBC, if they produce another good show they'll just cancel it once I get hooked.

I was upset to hear it wasn't renewed. I watched this with my family and it was refreshing because it didn't have any heavy drama and didn't focus on controversial topics.

I wish this show would have been given a proper finale

Gay men kissing, global warming and gun control aren't exactly rampant in sitcoms. And I'd say that this non-rampant exposure of things that actually happen in society constitutes reality more than peddling agenas.

I liked Growing Up Fisher. I'm sad it was canceled. But it's not the fault of other shows whose content you don't like, just like it's note The Big Bang Theory's fault that my beloved Community was canceled.

Also, Growing Up Fisher may be about a family, but it's a little spicy, especially with Jenna Elfman talking about sex and boobs and such.
