Why is there no buzz at all about the show?

From the start I've been wondering why has there been such a shortage of press/general buzz regarding this show - I mean no appearances on the usual late night talk shows for either Josh or Marg, virtually no magazine coverage at all etc...
Even the most obscure shows have their "stars" make the occasional appearance at whatever talk show / event so is it just that both Josh and Marg do not want to "play the Hollywood game" aside from appearing as presenters at the freaking People's Choice awards?
I get that people who watched OUAT know and seem to love Meghan Ory but to the rest she's still pretty much an unknown actress so it would make sense to at least have the rest of the cast do one hail mary appearance before the show is cancelled and completely forgotten about.
Sorry to rant but I just don't get this from a PR point of view.

I don't watch any of the late night talk shows, but yeah, you would think they'd at least have the more well knows actors out there making the rounds.

I'd prefer to think it was an executive decision rather than Josh or Marg being divas.

reply

Actually, Josh did a TV Guide mag cover and attended 2 talk shows.

reply

I know he did those things (I can tell you're also a fan) but they were not that visible, and they should have been - that's my whole point.
Why have a "star" like Josh / Marg and NOT do any of the late night talk shows for example (sorry but shows like "the talk" or "queen latifa show" are just not...enough) or something?!
I did not mean "diva behavior" on their part, at all, simply just that neither of them do a lot of "PR appearances" in general (which is fine!)...

I don't know, I don't understand, this is why I posted--> I do not understand why this show is not buzzed about, it's frustrating, I wanted it to do well!

reply

You are right! Besides, they are not the only actors from a new show that didn't do much promotion.

I wanted too the show to do well!

reply

I know what you mean - as the networks are now adapting to a more "fluid like" pilot season /premieres it's easily noticeable when a show is not promoted enough/ at all.
Intelligence = CBS = 2 known "stars" = no PR at all ?? , apart from the absolute necessary one???
I do not get it.
Yes, new shows have a harder time each year but come one!
Josh! WTH are u doing in your film career / in general ?? I root for you, I want you to do well, I want "Hollywood" to recognize your talent...BUT..Yoo need mode PR, you need to be more visible man!! Nobody can succeed on their talent alone.

reply

I understand you. His movie career isn't good either and I can't understand why
At least, he's starring in a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

There's lots of buzz! Of the NEGATIVE kind 'cause people HATE it! Intellicrap lost HALF it's ratings by the second episode and TEN MILLION viewers fled like it was dripping with small pox!

HAH!

I know that all you want is attention but I gotta say this.

Can't you just go away TROLL?? I'm tired of seeing you posting the same things over and over again! Seriously, are you crazy??

reply

Ugh. Replies are what keep him here. Notice very few people respond to him, many of his posts are just copy/paste replies to himself. He's like the advertising on your favorite website. Do you even notice banner ads anymore? Cause I don't.

reply

Yep, you're right

There was no buzz from the beginning. Btw, I don't think that Josh should be in another show epsecially if it is on CBS.

reply

"If a show does not do well from the start and blows opportunities to get viewers, then there will be no buzz thus no 2nd season."
_The entire point of my post was that there never was ANY said "buzz" to begin with...
I am a Josh H. fan and work in public relations, and nothing about the marketing of this series makes any sense...

good luck next time JH! ( I guess we're already there?)

reply

I don't agree! I think there's lots of buzz like "Hey, have you seen Intellicrap?" "Uck! No way! That show blows!"

TEN MILLION viewers fled like it was a crap house on fire after the first episode. It buzzed alright! For all the WRONG reasons!

HAH!

Maybe the problem (or a contributor) is that they DID air new episodes during the Olympics. Ratings dropped tremendously, from 16 million viewers to 6 million from the first to the 2nd episode, but has stayed at around 6 million since then.

If they had held off on airing new episodes, like every other show did, they might have held on to more of those 16 million.

Meghan will most likely return to Once Upon a Time, since that's where she was before she jumped ship for this.

reply

I assumed it hasn't done so well, because the pitch sounds like a retread of Chuck, but without the humor.

I hope he can find another role in the vein of Jim Caviezel on Person Of Interest and LL Cool J & Chris O'Donnell on NCIS: LA. Meghan Ory, too.

It's funny that you would mention Person of Interest because Josh Holloway was originally offered the lead role on that show, but he declined it because he didn't want to film in New York at the time.
