}}} Btw, I didn't say that the show is going to definitely get renewed, I said that it thas a chance.
You're right. There's a chance I'll get to have red hot monkey love with Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Dree Hemingway, Candice Swanepoel, Anja Rubik, and Doutzen Kroes in the coming week. What the hey -- ANY coming week. EVER.
And that's only a slightly greater chance than the chance that Intelligence gets renewed...
Intelligence had some potential, in that it's got a lot of good, charismatic performers playing good, charismatic characters. Its concept, in the hands of a good writing team, might have gone somewhere.
It got this crop of writers, instead...

Note that the R/C index puts it as the two worst-off shows on CBS -- "certain to be cancelled by May, 2014", not even "more likely to be cancelled than renewed by May, 2014"
This is because even IF the numbers were showing improvement, the show would still be one of the lowest rated shows on CBS, which means that CBS will cancel it just to make room for something else, that might have better ratings... The nets will generally kill the lowest rated shows even if the numbers are "decent", because of the fact that it always has stuff in the pipeline that it just won't sit on. And Intelligence, unlike some other shows, isn't even vaguely close to being syndicated, meaning it has no longer-term value for the network to make if only it gets a few more shows...
And frankly, after the execrable writing of "The Grey Hat", easily the worst episode so far this season on multiple levels, it's not deserving of any more of a chance. There's so many plot AND factual holes in this ep it's pitiful.
I'll watch it to the end, but not because it has a chance or is going to get any better. And I'll save my ire at the networks for killing far, far better shows than this one has ever come close to being.
