Just sums it up so well. Damn shame not everyone could enjoy this film the way it was intended to be.

Although Locke didn't really say that as a full-on question...
This is a fantastic movie so far. I'm about halfway through. The suspense is unbearable, I hope it'll last.
I hope you end up on a positive note when the film ends.
shareI did. Great movie. It could have gone one of two ways in the end - or left the question unanswered. But the conclusion was as satisfying is it could have been in that situation.

Yeah I think a lot of people were expecting a some kind of a shocking climax to the simple story. But I was glad they didn't have some shock because it really made the film feel pretty realistic.

I rather preferred his monologue about the cement in the foundation needing to be perfect, or else cracks will form and eventually it will all come crumbling down. A bit on the nose, maybe, but it perfectly summed up his situation.

shareI'm no philosophy major but I loved the theme of existentialism running through Locke, most personified in the line you quoted, as well as others such as, " do it for the building and the air it will displace...", finding meaning where others see none, because that's what he believes. He really seemed to have a code and purpose to give his life meaning based on his own beliefs.
