The whole opening scene, with the archaeologist and his hat looking all Indy, with the black coated, black hatted, round glassed dude looking like the Nazi dude in the Raiders of the Lost ark
Also, there is someone holding, in the background, the staff of Rah, which in Raiders is the key of finding the secret tomb
I loved the opening sequence! I was like, "Man, I kinda wish this was a movie about going to Egypt (a la The Mummy) or about archaeology & a cursed tomb or something along those lines..."
It totally pulled me in & I forgot that I was watching a 'Night at the Museum' movie until it went to the modern day scenes at the gala.
There totally needs to be another Egyptian-themed adventure movie (not 'The Mummy' but something along those lines...the first one was so fun & yes, very Indiana Jones-esque! ;)
