Goof (Spoiler)

When Larry is hanging up his uniform for the last time, he briefly takes out the instruction manual from the first film. If I remember correctly, it was torn to shreds by a mischievous Dexter, and Cecil said that there was no other copy. So, how did it turn up in Larry's locker? Thoughts?
