Did anyone else get emotional during Robin Williams last scene?

While watching Robin Williams in his final scene, I couldn't help but to say goodbye to him and shed a tear. I've watched his career my entire life and will miss him greatly. What he says in his final moments in the film are fitting as well. So sad.

I'm sure someone else did.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

I think everyone in our theater did. Overheard several mentioning it on the way out. Very sad and poignant.

I didn't get to see this until today - Regal has $1 Summer Movies. I had forgotten that this was Mr. Williams' last movie until his first scene - and that's when I teared up.

reply

I did. It was bittersweet. It was as if he reached out to his audience to say don't be sad, he is going to be fine.

Same here. A bit unsettling.

If you thought that was bad, don't even think about watching The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. That one tore my heart out.

reply

I was definitely close to breaking down during the last 10 or so minutes. If I went by myself I would certainly be bawling!

reply

Only one of the scenes I cried during, but yes, most definitely. It felt almost as if he was saying goodbye to the audience rather than Larry. :(

reply

In our theater you could hear the entire audience sobbing. You knew it was the last scene and you just could not help it.

reply

Yup. I sure did.

What happens in that scene?
