Very forgiving towards the three old bastards who kicked his ass.

Am I the only one who finds it very odd that Larry is very forgiving towards the three old jerks who beat the *beep* out of him in the first film? Hell, they never did apologized to him for that.

That was my hot button issue with the first film and why I hate it the most.

Anyone agree? Disagree??

I must respectfully disagree. From what I gathered from the series, Larry is kind-hearted and never holds grudges. Even Cecil and Reginald are friendly towards him, forgiving him for busting them and almost getting them arrested. Of course, the price they had to pay for his silence was mopping up the mess, but they moved on with their lives and let it go. I think Larry was wise in doing the same.

Are you kidding? They were mean *beep* jerks who got off easily. They do this a lot in movies where someone beats up somebody and gets away with it and it really pisses me off. Larry needs to hold grudges.

Then what example would he be setting for Nicky?

reply

To stand up for yourself? Not let bad people get away with hurting you? Self worth? Self righteousness?

They weren't exactly happy to see him when he reunited with them in this movie. I think the film did a good job at developing their relationship from that past hatred to eventually being able to bury the hatchet.

It's a great example for Nicky to not close the book on somebody for good right away.
