Just saw today (on demand)

I've seen "American Idiot", see Green Day live, and I wanted to see "Broadway Idiot" in the theater, but it's showing at one art-house theater that is not very convenient to me. I was happy to watch it today with my Green Day-loving kid. The process of producing and bringing a rock album to the stage is fascinating, and the enthusiasm and talent of the young cast is wonderful. It was enlightening to see the story behind Billie Joe's music and how he and the band got behind the production after some initial trepidation. Bonus footage of little kid Billie Joe singing showtunes! A must see for any musical theater or Green Day fan.

We just watched it tonight because the show is coming in March. I can't wait. And you're right, that bonus footage of Billie Joe singing showtunes was incredible. I've always liked him and his music although I don't really know that much about him, but now I really respect him.

I couldn't believe how much they made me wanna see the show. Too bad it's not possible for me any time soon, but hopefully one day...
