age: 39 months

Lol ... Your kid is 3 years old. Time to stop using months for age

THANK YOU! I hate it when people refer to their children in term of "months" past age 2. It's ridiculous.

I thought this was odd at first, also. However, they use this format for the kids ages in each episode that I've seen so far so it appears to be the show's doing, not the parents.

Also, since the show is all about the kids ability to perform these little games/tasks, then people at home are 'playing along' by judging whether or not the kid in question (or even their kid, by comparison) could accomplish the task at hand. The age thing is a huge factor in that. A 37 month old 3 year old is a lot different than a 47 month 3 year old.

Using the 'months' format for the age makes it easier to play along and decide what the outcome will be. I figure that the producers of the show (or whoever) recognized this and decided to state the age in months instead of years.

As you said, the show is the one saying "XX months." From what I remember, most of the parents have used years to describe their kids ages.

None of these kids are even babies like the show's title claims. They are toddlers.

i can't stand that once the kid is past 2!
