I thought it was very good, too. With good performances and some clever, amusing and very funny aspects amidst a familiar enough story that's bolstered by a unique setting. Visually, this is a quite striking movie and with Stellan Skarsgard perfectly cast it's most satisfying and streets ahead of most similar movies in recent years. And its wit and sense of humour is key to that in many ways.

NOW TARZAN MAKE WAR!

I agree, some very funny dialogue.

It's good, sure. But nothing great. It was pretty formulaic and predictable. The kid didn't act like a real kid. The punch effects were awful. The dialogue was sometime rlly bad.

But all-in-all, the direction was good, and it was an above average revenge film. But it's not as fun as something like "taken" or as subversive as "blue ruin" or "memento"

If you're not scandinavian, and you're basing your opinion on the dialogue by the subs, I can see how you could think it's really bad. But it's quite precise to the way Norwegians talk to each other, considering that our dialects are literally all over the place. For good scandinavian kid acting, see Jagten by Thomas Vinterberg.

And wth, Taken is a terrible terrible movie, I can never fathom why people bring it up. Memento is a *beep* gimmick hiding behind solid craft.

That's such a lazy excuse, whenever someone says anything along the lines of "oh, it's because it's not from your culture", then you KNOW they don't have any real good defense. Would you have an issue with a Scandinavian person mocking M Night Shyamalan dialogue because they don't speak english? NO! So why have this double standard? There are plenty of great foreign films that have great dialogue and don't suffer at all due to subtitles. I have seen Jagten AND Festen by Vinterburg and the dialogue is for the most part, very good in those films, so your defense is still a cop out.

There is so much wrong with that last statement it's ridiculous. Taken is extremely entertaining and straight forward and fun, not to mention the film that made Neeson the worlds biggest action star in his 60's. Memento is not a gimmick, it's well written and extremely well acted and edited. the "Gimmick" is an essential part of the film, like saying "oh, pulp fiction would be less interesting if it were in chronological order", or "Young Frankenstein wouldn't have worked as well in black and white" OF COURSE NOT! THAT'S WHY THEY MADE THOSE CREATIVE DECISIONS! The 'gimmick' in memento reflects Lenny's confusion, I think you need to do some research on what a gimmick is. (And btw, I'm not a nolan fanboy, I loathed TDKR and Interstellar for how dumb and pandering they are)
