Jeez... What a body count!
I had no idea Norway was such a violent place. Beatings, shootings, abductions... Shocking! I thought I might visit one day, but I guess I'll stay right here in New Jersey. It's safer. :)
shareThere's no compelling reason to visit Norway. In fact, the Swedes refer to Norwegians as the the bridge-and-tunnel crowd. ;-)

Seriously though, judging from the relative scarcity of comments on this movie not too many Americans have seen it. That's too bad. It really is a good film. Maybe the remake that's been mentioned will induce people to seek out the original. It's happened with me many times over the years.
One series with a high body count is The Bridge which has been made twice more. The first involved a murder on the bridge between Sweden and Denmark which leads to a mass poisoning of street people and in a nursing home by a crazy person. The killings take place in both Sweden and Denmark.
Then it was remade using the bridge between El Paso and Juarez. This lead to a series called "The Tunnel" about the chunnel which runs under the English Channel between England and France.
